NASA funding

so with my topic im going to be talking about:

-the different types of benefits that have come from nasa

-how we can handle the money issue of funding nasa

-why we should continue space exploration

and possibly have a slide show to present but if not we will show videos and pictures on our myspace website as well.

so far this is what i have brainstormed. i am going to make note cards to guide me along, but i also need to study for a mock interview tomorrow morning and a piano test so im really busy but my presentation will be put together tonight and tomorrow. i wont let you down even if im sick and have to stay up all night. see you guys thursday.

Mars Exploration

Anyone up for a trip to space? it’ll cost you around 200,000 grand. Ive found so much information on space tourism that its abit overwhelming. I just finished the brainstorming part of my essay and am looking up video and audio files for our presentation. I hope that everything comes together well for us. I LOOK FORWARD TO FINISHING UP THIS PAPER AND PERHAPS GETTING TOGETHER ONE LAST TIME TO GO OVER OUR PRESENTATION. I hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving and i will see you guys one tuesday. The Moon

So I have started on my research for my final project. I pulled up a few topics on the internet about the moon. Choosing the moon as my sub topic was great since there are so many sources and useful information. I think I can branch off and touch many bases with the moon and the interactions the Earth can share with it. I hope everyone in my group has a bunch of information like the moon. Living on the moon would be pretty bad ass. If I ever get a place up there you guys are welcome to come and chill. Dear group, I apologize for not attending on monday or tuesday. cram week

wow so this time of the year is very stressful. with the finals coming up and papers to write im feeling very crammed. i even almost forgot about this weeks entry. class on tuesday was very helpful in showing me how to find articles and cite them for this paper but its been really hard for me to really sit down and focus on it because my mind is racing in like 20 diff. directions trying not to forget to do anything that needs to get done on time and rushing to sign up for classes next semester and figuring out my major then deciding to renew my lease or not and then studying for math because im not doing so well in that class its just all hit me at once, so im pretty sure im going to be writing my paper over break which is okay but im just a really bad procrastinater. anyways i know i’ll get it all done in time i am still a little excited for our space topic and what we will learn from it. i hope our meeting on monday with kate will help us understand more clearly what we need to do for our presentaion. so see you guys monday morning at volta around 10:00

Confusing weeks indeed

Hello, So i just finished typing up my notes for primary and secondary sources. That was a huge mountain to climb for me, but once I got started writing everything came out smoothly. I thought that I was up to date with my blog entries and still do, but they seem kind of odd, like one week may have run into another weeks entry. I’m not sure which is why I’m doing this entry. Hopefully this counts for this week. So I found a lot of information on space tourism. It’s amazing that humans may be able to settle off earth in the future. I mean, the thought has been there for sometime, but actually taking steps towards it is different. I hope you guys were able to find your sources. see you in class tomorrow.

confusing weeks

so this week and last week were a littl confusing. im sort of getting lost in class now which is not like me. all the readings and things we have to check up on and then having to chose a topic and find an article. i didnt even realize that we had to find an article intil late last night and i wasnt sure what we had to do. i dont like kate being out. things are so much easier when shes teaching us in person. i am usually not one to keep up on emails and posts lol but im trying. todays class was short but some what meaningful i did learn a little about the Toulmin method the sub was really cool and wanted to help which was neat. i may need kate to go into more depth thought o fully understand it. but overall i hope things get back to normal and we can start cracking down on this argumentative paper so we can get it over with lol see ya!

Space: The Final Frontier

Alright so based on the other blogs im assuming we have choosen space exploration as our topic for our group project. This topic seems very promising and looks like we can have a bunch of stuff to talk about. When it comes to space exploration will we discuss methods of space travel? or like wether its a good idea to explore or not? either way I think we should figure this out as soon as possible so we can start on our papers. Project

Well, I am excited for the project but nervous at the same time. I like the topic we agreed on, Space Exploration. Amber and I already figured out a few topics that each paper might focus on. I guess we still have to figure out a visual or audio presentation. For some weird reason, when I try to think of a visual, I think of spacecrafts in the background and an astronaut floating in the air….

Other than that, I realized that I posted this a little bit late. I was kind of researching for this project, and I also ended up checking out the book I chose to write on my paper we were given on Tuesday. It’s based on the Moon exploration and our plans on sending people up there to build a base on it. Interesting in my opinion. It probably speaks of the Mars exploration as well.

Well, if you ever need help in writing this paper, do not be afraid to give me a call or ask me in class, since I do take Astronomy and currently have an A in it, so my notes are good.
